No Suspension For Devils’ Carter
Devils center Ryan Carter has learned that there will be no disciplinary action taken after his hit against Carolina’s Jaroslav Spacek. During the play, Carter was issued a five-minute boarding major and a game misconduct.

Devils Sign Two; Brodeur Still Out
The Devils have signed two players to contracts as the team continues to recover from a recent string of debilitating injuries.
The first signing came in the form of Ryan Carter who was put on waivers by the Florida Panthers. Most recently, however, the Devils have signed Steve Bernier to a contract with the AHL affiliate, the Albany Devils.

Devils claim Panthers' Carter on waivers (AP)
The New Jersey Devils have claimed forward Ryan Carter on waivers from the Florida Panthers. The Devils announced the move on Wednesday and said the five-year veteran will join the team on its road trip in Phoenix. Carter was scoreless in seven games this season. He has 14 goals and 21 assists in 189 career games with Anaheim, Carolina and Florida.
