Scott Gomez Wants to Play for New Jersey
Scott Gomez’s infamous journey as a Montreal Canadien is likely to end after this season and he just may end up playing where it all began more than ten years ago.
According to L.A. Lariviere, Gomez, 32, is “aiming” to suit up for the New Jersey Devils next season. From Lariviere via Twitter:

Habs by the Numbers: Why is Scott Gomez Still Playing? Part deux ...
Why is Gomez still playing...revisted?
Well, sort of again. Have no fear, I will not be going "granular" on you with a ton of Gomez stats.
Many poeple have left very interesting comments in the first article on the subject (and I'd like to thank you all for them!).
A lot of them had to do with the fact that, weather the numbers were there or not, Gomez had...

Habs by the Numbers: Why is Gomez Still Playing?
Greetings HabsAddicts!
I have decided to tackle a dangerous task today.
That task is trying to explain the logic of the Montreal Canadiens' coaching staff regarding Scott Gomez's presence in the lineup.
As best as I can remember, since Gomez arrived in Montreal, he has never once been a healthy scratch.
Naturally, this has infuriated more than a few fans. After...

Scott Gomez to play his 900th game against the Toronto Maple Leafs
Scott Gomez, at age 32 will play in his 900th game in Montreal, against arch rivals the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday. I do not think one would call this an historic game for Gomez. But certainly an iron man streak to reach 900 NHL games by the age of 32.
Looking at Gomez’s game log, the least amount of games he played in a season was back in the 2006/07 where he played...

Canadiens' Gomez, coach have argument
Montreal Canadiens forward Scott Gomez and an assistant coach got into a shouting match at practice Tuesday.
Assistant Randy Ladouceur apparently was upset at what he considered a lack of intensity during a drill. Gomez is among the league's highest-paid players but has only one goal this year for the struggling Canadiens.
The spat continued for several minutes, first in front...

Reactions: Scott Gomez scores first goal in over a year
Scott Gomez’s first goal in just over a year generated plenty of entertaining chatter on Twitter.
The centre for the Montreal Canadiens encouraged a sports bar chain of two locations get in on the fun.
Meanwhile, a website has been launched to update the public whether or not Gomez scored during his last game.
It’s a heavy burden finally lifted off the shoulders of...

Scott Gomez: Needed Now, Needed Tomorrow
As the one year anniversary approaches commemorating the last time that Scott Gomez scored a goal in the NHL, an overwhelming sense of emotion overcomes by body to think of that joyous occasion. To think, that it was just one year ago that he scored, man how time flies.
Enough of the sarcasm.
I am not going to sit here and tell you that everything is going well with this squad...

What the Montreal Canadiens should do with Scott Gomez?
With Scott Gomez nearing a return to line-up in the upcoming days, most likely during the Habs next road trip in Phoenix or in Nashville, head coach Jacques Martin will have to find a place for him to play.
Scott Gomez, who has missed the team's past six games, has resumed practising with his teammate, albeit with a non-contact jersey. Upon Gomez's return, the odd-man out...
