Russia took on Latvia to a blowout win Saturday with a final score of 4-1. During the game Buffalo Sabres forward Zemgus Girgensons who is playing for Latvia got a little disgruntle and speared Alexander Burmistrov right off the faceoff.
Girgensons was handed a game misconduct and a 5-minute major for the spearing incident.
Buffalo Sabres forward Zemgus Girgensons pulled off this beauty move on Detroit Red Wings defenseman Nik Kronwall on Tuesday night. Kronwall got caught flat-footed as Girgensons pulled the puck between his legs and blew past Kronwall and buried it.
