Jet Strip in Lennox, Ca. calls itself “LA’s Friendliest Gentlemen’s Club,” and is proving that tagline is based on reality.

The strip club is one of a few organizations that donated money to help a local Little League remain afloat for the current season.

Lennox Little League, situated nearby Los Angeles International Airport, has been dealing with severe financial issues. They’re in a low-income area and even offer a payment plan for the $85 annual per player fee.

One of their problems is that the K-8 Lennox School District owns the Little League fields and is now charging them double to have a security guard watch the fields ($300 per weekend instead of $150). Lennox had a lackluster Opening Day due to financial constraints, and issues between the league and school district delayed the start of the season by three weeks.

Luckily the league received a $1,200 donation from Jet Strip, $1,000 from Weschester Little League, and $600 from Lennox Coordinating Council to cover their fee increases for the year.

Though the league seems like it will make it through the season, they still face other issues. One of their big revenue generators is a snack bar, but they were restricted to selling packaged foods because of health concerns over their grilled goods. The school district compromised and will allow the league to construct a legitimate snack bar, but that could cost thousands. A local nonprofit group has offered to build the new snack bar for free, but the materials may run $65,000. Perhaps Jet Strip can ante-up for the Little League one more time.
