After falling out of favor with Vicente del Bosque, Fernando Torres ended his year-long goal drought for Spain in style on Thursday - and then insisted he had nothing to prove to the coach. The striker hit four goals in a game for the first time in his career as the world champions crushed Tahiti 10-0 at the Confederations Cup. It was the first time Torres had played in a competitive match for Spain since October and the first time he had scored for his country since the 2012 European Championship final last July. The 29-year-old Torres has gone from Euro 2012 top-scorer, including a goal in the victorious final against Italy, to Spain outcast. While struggling for form with Chelsea, Torres was dropped from Del Bosque's squads from November until last month. Torres, though, has never doubted that he deserves to be in the Spain team.
