The USC Trojans interim head coach Ed Orgeron has changed the culture around the USC program and the players certainly like him more. On Monday, Orgeron brought the team In N’ Out as a surprise thank you for their hard work. Something tells me that Orgeron will be getting a head coaching gig somewhere after this if it’s not at USC.
During Monday night’s Kentucky-Montevallo game, freshman James Young saved a ball from going out of bounds, and tossed it behind his back into the other team’s basket. Come on man!
In honor of Halloween and their Thursday night game last week, the Miami Dolphins asked their players which of their teammates were easiest to scare. No surprise to see that Richie Incognito said that Johnathan Martin was the easiest to scare. Incognito reportedly bullied Martin and Incognito will be cut by the Dolphins Monday.
College Football fans got an inside look at Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban and his drive as a perfectionist.
Correspondent Armen Keteyian and producer Draggan Mihailovich were granted eight months of rare access to Saban’s Crimson Tide program and saw up close what it means to be the most dominant head coach in college football.
The video is pretty awesome...
Former NHLer Mike Commodore posted this video of his team, HC Admiral Vladivostok, eating their post-game meal in the same room as a Wedding Reception. The KHL may be poaching Russians from the NHL, but they still have some serious work to do competing with the luxuries the NHL provides.

Sports Illustrated for Kids put together this awesome video recapping the key plays of the Boston Red Sox World Series victory over the St. Louis Cardinals with Legos. Something like this must have taken days and it is really quite impressive.
Javonte Douglas of the College of Central Florida had one of the more amazing dunks we’ve ever seen at Diehard Sport. Douglas went flying –appearing to reach all the way to the top of the backboard (13 feet)– to throw down a huge putback dunk during a CCF game.
Would be great if Douglas is hooping next season with Florida ‘Dunk City’ Gulf Coast next season, would see plenty...
It’s one of the more creative traditions in college basketball. Fans at John Brown University, an NAIA school in Arkansas, celebrate the team’s first basket of the season on its home court, by throwing toilet paper on the floor.
Unfortunately this resulted in a technical foul for John Brown, who ended up beating 82-67 over Crowley’s Ridge.

Northwestern will be sporting an interesting new jersey combo for their Big Ten matchup with Michigan on November 16th. Darren Rovell tweeted out the “Red, White and Blue ‘Wounded Warriors’ themed jerseys. Instead of the usual names on the back of jerseys, it will instead show “Courage” and “Duty”.
Northwestern, who dropped to 0-5 in the Big Ten after last week’s...
Michigan State had much to celebrate after trouncing their in-state rivals Michigan 29-6 on Saturday afternoon. In the locker room following the game, coach Mark Dantonio, who almost never smiles, was seen with a grin on face having a dance part to Rich Homie Quan’s ‘That Type of Way.’
Ottawa Senators defenseman Mark Borowiecki scored an own-goal in a pretty inopportune time on Sunday. In a tie game early in the 3rd period, a puck was sent out front of the Senators net when Borowiecki tried to clear the puck. Borowiecki ended up burying the puck right past his goalie, Craig Anderson, and gave the Dallas Stars the lead. Ottawa would come back to tie the game...
On Sunday, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady had one of the best games of his career. After throwing an 81-yard touchdown pass to Aaron Dobson, Brady was all smiles and made this hilarious face when he gave Legarrette Blount a high-five. I’m guessing he was extra excited that he wasn’t ignored this time by his teammate when he went up for a high-five. The Patriots...
Knicks’ rookie Tim Hardaway Jr. is getting major playing time with J.R. Smith out because of suspension. Hardaway is showing glimpses of why New York drafted him with the 24th pick in last year’s draft. During Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Hardaway Jr., who helped lead Michigan all the way to the National Championship game last season, finished an alley...
Cousin Terio had court-side seats for the Heat’s Sunday matchup with the Wizards. After the game, D-Wade, who finished with 20 points on the night, gave Terio some dap as he headed toward the locker room.
Wade’s “Oh snap, that’s Terio” reaction was pretty great.
Orlando Magic rookie guard Victor Oladipo is putting on a show against the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday night. The Indiana product has 19 points in 19 minutes including the two-handed 360-dunk on a fast break. Hello SportsCenter Top 10.
Ottawa Senators goalie Craig Anderson was run over by Dallas Stars rookie forward Valeri Nichushkin in overtime on Sunday and was clearly in pain. Nichushkin appeared to land on Anderson’s neck, and bent it into a funny spot. Anderson was stretchered off as a precaution and appears to be okay.
Very good sign, Anderson walked by still in his gear. Snuck a look at the monitor...
As the third quarter was winding down and the Arkansas Razorbacks were about to score, Auburn Tigers linebacker Anthony Swain went down with no contact, seemingly faking an injury. Swain was staring at the sideline, appearing to be fine, and then collapsed with an apparent leg injury. This to me looks like a textbook fake, and I’m not sure how any one could say it was anything...
The winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers have pulled out all the stops so far today against the Seattle Seahawks. They’ve already kicked an onside kick and now they ran a running back jump pass, where Mike James threw a touchdown to tight end Tom Crabtree. The Buccaneers are somehow beating the Seahawks 21-0 in Seattle.
Nebraska Cornhuskers backup quarterback Ron Kellogg threw this 49-yard Hail Mary that was caught by Jordan Westercamp in the end zone. The ball was tipped and caught and gave Nebraska the 27-24 win. The best part of this video, without question, is Bo Pelini’s reaction to the touchdown. Absolutely hysterical. The Northwestern Wildcats have now dropped 5 straight in an absolutely...
RG3 looked pretty healthy here when he exploded off his knee to get airborne to pickup the first down. The Redskins were in a dog fight with the Chargers all game but managed to pull out the win in overtime.
With only one timeout left, Tony Romo knew he couldn’t take a sack late in the fourth quarter when the Cowboys were trying to tie the game so he simply threw the ball away. Unfortunately for the ref on the sideline, the ball Romo threw drilled him right in the side of the head. Romo would go on to throw the game-winning touchdown later in the drive.
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo clearly didn’t like the spot that they were given on this play. Obviously he didn’t get away with using his foot to move the ball, but it was worth a shot. [Flickr]
That’s one manly 11-yard touchdown run by Adrian Peterson on 4th-and-1 against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. The score gave the Vikings the 24-20 lead in the 4th quarter.
Back-to-back weeks where the Washington Redskins’ Pierre Garcon has made fabulous one-handed catches. This week 30-yard catch was against the San Diego Chargers, and eventually led to the game tying TD for Washington.
