Roach was interviewed by the NFL Network and a feature with Roach taking surfing lessons surfing from surfing legend Kelly Slater during Pro Bowl week in Hawaii was shown.

The Association of Surfing Professionals says it made a mistake in its tiebreakers when it awarded Kelly Slater his 11th ASP world title Tuesday.

The Association of Surfing Professionals gave him the t-shirts, the hats and the fanfare of being the surfing champion of 2011 on Wednesday. Kelly Slater made phone calls and got his congratulations from media and fans on his huge accomplishment of being an 11-time ASP Champion. On Friday, the ASP has no 2011 ASP World Title champion yet.
