Austin Theory recently became the WWE World Tag Team Champion with Grayson Waller at WrestleMania XL. However, according to several reports, it looked like they were going to be removed from the Show of Shows. Now, the 26-year-old star has opened up about the whole situation in an interview.

While speaking on The Babyfaces podcast, Theory expressed his disappointment that “somebody” spread a rumor on the internet, and everyone believed it. Austin Theory clarified that there was no chance he and Grayson Waller wouldn’t be in the six-pack ladder match. He described his pairing with the Aussie as the best team across both rosters.

After The Rock returned and attacked the former United States Champion, he soon struck up a partnership with Waller. The duo was involved in some big moments, like co-hosting The Grayson Waller Effect with Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins at Elimination Chamber. Recently, Theory and Waller defended their titles against The Street Profits, defeating them on the May 3 episode of SmackDown.

I love it because it explains that there is just a bunch of idiots out there. When it comes to me and Grayson Waller, there was no way we weren't going to be in the tag team ladder match. We're the best team, all-around, on both rosters.  Austin Theory

As of now, they don’t have an opponent decided for the upcoming King and Queen of the Ring PLE. Having said that, it will be interesting to see if any team manages to dethrone the arrogant tag team champions in the foreseeable future.

Austin Theory vows to end The Rock’s career

It looks like Austin Theory hasn’t forgotten his embarrassing meeting with The Rock on the September 15, 2023, episode of SmackDown. The Great One destroyed him on the mic and floored him with his classic Spinebuster and People’s Elbow combination. Taking that into mind, Theory expressed his desire to end The Rock’s career in an interview.

In the same podcast, the 26-year-old star refused to accept The Brahma Bull as his boss, despite his position on the Board of Directors. The former United States Champion stated that his performance at WrestleMania XL was all thanks to him. Theory further added that he and Waller weren’t afraid of any consequences after taking a shot at The Rock.

And me and Grayson Waller, man, we don’t care, you know. And Grayson said in the past: ‘Hey, watch what you say, you know, he’s our boss.’ He ain’t my boss, all right. He ain’t my boss. I’ll put him in his place, all right. Austin Theory on The Rock via The Babyfaces podcast

Rocky wrestled in the main event of Night 1, teaming up with Roman Reigns to defeat Rollins and Rhodes in a tag team match. He was also heavily involved in the Night 2 main event match between Reigns and The American Nightmare. Interestingly, the former Money in the Bank winner had previously challenged him to a match.
