Last week was a great week for sports fans. We saw some weird baseball signings. We once again had some insanity on the football field, and of course college kids got drunk.

Sam Houston State beat Montana State 49-13 today. Since the college bowls don't start until December 17th we have to rely on the FCS playoffs to tide us over. Although it would've been nicer to see a little closer game we did get one awesome catch from Montana State player Elvis Akpla which you can watch below. Colorado State hires McElwain as coach
Colorado State introduced Jim McElwain as its new head coach Tuesday.
McElwain, Alabama's offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach since Jan. 30, 2008, becomes Colorado State's 20th head coach.
Athletic director Jack Graham says McElwain's five-year contract includes an annual base salary of $1.35 million. He can earn an additional $150,000 in bonuses.

Jones lifts N. Texas past Sam Houston St. 53-50
Chris Jones scored 14 points, including the go-ahead basket with 1:06 remaining, as North Texas defeated Sam Houston State 53-50 on Saturday.

Colorado State has called a news conference for Tuesday to introduce its new football coach amid reports that it's Alabama offensive coordinator Jim McElwain.

Sam Houston State runs past Montana State
HUNTSVILLE, Texas (AP) -- Richard Sincere rushed for 160 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries as Sam Houston State piled up 428 rushing yards on Saturday in beating Montana State 49-13 in a Football Championship Subdivision quarterfinal game.
