‘Big Brother’: Angela Murray on Why People Kept Saving Her All Season
CBS

Angela Murray is a name that will live on in Big Brother infamy for a very long time, for many reasons. She made waves right from the start with a head-spinning fight in the first week. From there, her very theatrical personality dominated the house at all times, and she became the subject of so many saves we lost count.

Angela was so lucky throughout the season — with not one, not two, but three fellow houseguests using their Power of Veto to save her from the block — that some fans even wondered if she was part of the BB AI twist or that she was a producer plant.

Well, Thursday’s (September 26) episode finally saw her reach the end of her road on the show, as the cast had whittled down to just a half dozen houseguests.

You had a lot of friends in the house, but who was your truest ally and why?

Angela Murray: I certainly did. My most trusted ally was definitely Leah. And the reason why is that Leah and I had spent a lot of time that maybe TV viewers didn’t get to see, and we related more on a personal level than the gaming level. And so I did trust Leah very, very much, and I do think she’s a very genuine person. And so therefore I trusted her and wanted to take it to the house with her. I wanted to go all the way. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen, but I’ve got a friend for life.

Why do you think people kept using the Power of Veto to save you?

Because, I’m gonna be honest with you, a lot of this game I just—I mean, obviously you have to wing it. You just have to, you have to pivot where you have to pivot. But I think it’s because I made genuine personal relationships with people, and they saw my heart, and they knew I wanted to be there, and maybe they also thought that it would benefit their game, and let’s face it: Tucker used it to just shake things up, and I’m so glad that he did. I thought it was a great moment in the house where, you know, we were just too much like summer camp in Kumbaya, things needed to get shaken up and I’m glad that he used it on me. Outside of that, I think people just like me, and I think they really do. I spend a lot of time with these people. A lot of time. Trust me.

When you look back on the past several weeks, is there anything you wish you could have a do-over on?

I think there are several things I’d love to have a do-over on. Most recent is, just trust my gut. I was gonna write down an initial number for that tie with Chelsie and that final HoH there that I was in with a double eviction, and I didn’t go with my gut. So I wish I would have trusted my gut a little more. And another thing that I feel that kind of I shot myself in the foot was jumping the gun, sort of speaking a little too early on certain things. Petitioning to get Tucker out for one. That was a very tough week for me. And I really had to deal with the repercussions of what I had done and that was tough. And trusting Quinn—I should never have trusted that kid. He kept letting me down. So trusting Quinn, maybe I should put that at the top.

CBS

Now that you’re in the jury house, what are you expecting to happen and who can you possibly be rooting for?

Now that I’m in the jury house and the people that are left in the game, I am rooting for Kimo. I just love the kid, and I know that he is so deserving of this. He has been put up as a pawn time after time, much like myself, and he has got the grit and the tenacity and the personality to pull this off. I am rooting for Kimo.

Steelers are growing concerned over Aaron Rodgers' alarming performance

The Pittsburgh Steelers have a lot to work on after the first couple of weeks of training camp have concluded and they prepare for a preseason game. The offense has not played well throughout these early practices. Even though they have to go against the highest-paid defense every day, it's not a good sign when the third-team offense has consistently been the most exciting and inspiring unit on that side of the ball. There are lots of things that need to be fixed before Week 1 kicks off — or else it will be a long season. As usual, these problems start with the quarterback position. Insider Mike DeFabo reported on a big problem that Aaron Rodgers has had with his receiving core. "While Rodgers’ quick release has married well with DK Metcalf’s ability to win on slants, the QB hasn’t been able to unlock his big-play threat downfield," DeFabo said. "During Sunday’s practice, Rodgers did find Metcalf on a deep cross thanks to some blown coverage. But that touchdown is the outlier in an offense that’s relied overwhelmingly on short, quick passes or checkdowns. During a 7-on-7 period, Rodgers overthrew Metcalf on a pair of vertical routes. This comes days after Rodgers and Metcalf failed to connect on a go route during the two-minute drill to end 'Friday Night Lights.' The only other memorable deep ball between the two in team periods also fell incomplete about a week ago, when Rodgers’ pass fluttered out of bounds as Joey Porter Jr. stayed in Metcalf’s hip pocket." While DK Metcalf has never been a polished route-runner, he was still brought in to make life easier on the quarterback. Multiple reports from training camp continue to express similar analysis, indicating that the connection between Metcalf and Rodgers, especially downfield, has been far from perfect. If the chemistry between Metcalf and Rodgers continues to stall, someone else will have to step up. As DeFabo also reports, no one else has been able to take an alpha role in this receiver room thus far. "On Sunday, Rodgers looked for [Roman] Wilson on a corner route. The uncatchable ball skipped well in front of the receiver," DeFabo said. "Either the throw was errant or they weren’t on the same page. It was a similar story last week, when Rodgers looked for Wilson along the sideline and threw it well out of bounds. After that misfire, Rodgers walked Wilson through how to run his route the way the QB wants. Meanwhile, [Calvin] Austin missed his second consecutive practice with an injury." After essentially being redshirted due to injury in his rookie year, Roman Wilson has been given multiple opportunities to run with the first-team offense and prove that he belongs on the field. So far, he appears to have absolutely zero chemistry with his new quarterback, which could cause him to lose reps as time goes on. The injury to Calvin Austin III has not helped at all, either, as he was named WR2 earlier in the offseason. While Rodgers wants everyone to thrive, he is known for being very particular and demanding of his receivers. With Metcalf not being a great route-runner and Wilson still trying to learn the system, the veteran quarterback is having a hard time getting what he wants out of them. Wide receivers coach Zach Azzanni was also brought in to be a no-nonsense type of coach who forces his players to be the best that they can be. He'll need to earn his keep this offseason as he continues to prepare his unit for the regular season. If 2025 is as much of a struggle as training camp is so far, the whole position could see a massive overhaul.

Green Bay Packers: Tucker Kraft Shares Concern Level on Issue That Nearly Became a Bigger Problem

Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft has been among the many players on the team who got banged up at training camp. Tucker missed a couple of practice sessions with a lower-body injury, including last Saturday’s Packers Family Night. But on Tuesday, Kraft finally returned to practice, as the off-day on Sunday got him extra time to rest up. Kraft’s appearance on the field on Tuesday was an encouraging sight for the team and Green Bay fans, especially with the 2025 NFL season just weeks away. The former South Dakota State Jackrabbits star is widely regarded as an important piece in the Packers’ passing attack, with many expecting him to make another big leap in 2025. He had 355 receiving yards and two touchdowns on 31 catches and 40 targets in his rookie season in 2023, when he produced 707 receiving yards and seven touchdowns on 50 receptions and 70 targets. Green Bay Packers TE Tucker Kraft not worried about groin injury Concerns about Kraft’s groin injury have been quelled not just by his appearance on the field but also by what he said on Tuesday. Via Packers reporter Rob Demovsky of ESPN: TE Tucker Kraft, who missed two practices because of a groin injury, returned on Tuesday. Said Kraft: “I realized I better just get this to calm down before it turns into something big. You guys saw me out there today practicing. Everything’s good.” It will be interesting to see whether Kraft will get some snaps this coming Saturday when the Packers take on the New York Jets at home in Week 1 of the 2025 NFL preseason, though, he’s probably just going to see a handful of them at the most if he plays at all.

Kings Predicted to Acquire Suns' Emerging Star in Blockbuster Trade Involving DeMar DeRozan

The Sacramento Kings entered the NBA offseason with a key decision to make regarding the future of their franchise. While many expected the Kings to begin a rebuild this summer, they have instead elected to keep their current core together, led by Domantas Sabonis, DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine, and chase a playoff spot next season. Sacramento has also made some notable additions to their roster this offseason as they added both Nique Clifford and Maxime Raynaud during the 2025 draft and they landed Dennis Schroder in free agency to fill their void at the point guard position left by them trading De’Aaron Fox last season. It has also been reported that the Kings are showing interest in Russell Westbrook and Jonathan Kuminga this summer, meaning more moves could be on the way in Sacramento. Kings predicted to land Suns' Jalen Green in blockbuster trade With this in mind, Sports Illustrated’s Jackson Caudell and Rohan Raman recently proposed a mock trade that would see the Kings send DeRozan to the Phoenix Suns for a rising star. In the trade, the Kings would send DeRozan, Malik Monk, Vit Krejci and a 2027 first-round pick to the Suns for Jalen Green and Nick Richards. Phoenix would also send Royce O’Neale to the Atlanta Hawks for two second-round picks. This would be an interesting trade for every team involved, especially the Kings as they would land a rising star in Green who they could build around for the future. Of course, moving on from DeRozan and Monk would not be too tough of a decision to make for the Kings as both players have been in trade rumors this summer, especially if they could land a young guard in Green to upgrade their backcourt. Despite this, the Suns may be unwilling to move on from Green, though that could change if he and Devin Booker do not fit well alongside each other in the backcourt next season. For Green, he would give the Kings a great young scoring guard, though his fit next to LaVine is a questionable one. While that may be the case, Green would join Keon Ellis, Devin Carter and Keegan Murray as Sacramento’s young core they could build around in the future if they decide to begin a rebuild in the coming years.

Athletics catcher's historic performance part of team's 16-run onslaught against Nationals

The Athletics have not had much to smile about in 2025, but Tuesday night was a totally different story. The Washington Nationals, who had lost five straight coming into the game, had no answer for the offensive onslaught as the Athletics won handily, 16-7. Led by the trio of catcher Shea Langeliers, right fielder Brent Rooker and center fielder JJ Bleday, the Athletics combined for 16 runs, 24 hits and never looked back after a five-run first inning. Langeliers became the first Athletics catcher with a five-hit game since 1972, three of which were for home runs. He got the scoring started for the Athletics in the first inning with this 402-foot shot to center field off Nationals starter MacKenzie Gore. Langeliers' second homer of the night came in the fifth when he hit a 387-footer to left off reliever Orlando Ribalta to give the Athletics a 10-1 lead. He capped his second career three-homer game with a 419-foot home run to center off a 94 mph four-seam fastball from Andry Lara to give the Athletics the 11-3 advantage in the seventh. He joins Travis d'Arnaud, Gary Carter and Johnny Bench as the only catchers with multiple three-home run games, per MLB.com's Sarah Langs. Langeliers is the first player since at least 1900 to have three homers in his first career game starting at leadoff (h/t Elias Sports). This double in the eighth secured the five-hit game for Langeliers. Per Langs (h/t Elias Sports), his 15 total bases are tied for the most by a catcher in a game since at least 1900 with Wes Westrum (1950) and Walker Cooper (1949). According to MLB Stats, Langeliers joins Cal Raleigh, Mike Piazza, Earl Williams and Rudy York as the only catchers to hit 20 or more home runs in three of their first four MLB seasons with a minimum of 50 percent of their games at catcher. The Athletics (50-65) are still last in the AL West and have struggled to find any consistency all season. Despite the struggles, Tuesday night was a needed distraction from that on a historic night at the plate from Langeliers.
