It seems as though Christopher Meloni is all over nowadays! Besides Law & Order: Organized Crime, he has a starring role in an unnamed Hulu NFL series. Paradise and This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman has a new untitled football series coming to Hulu. So far, there is little information for the series, but we’ll dive into it and share anything we have uncovered.
As of yet, this sports series remains unnamed. What we do now is that the actor has been confirmed as the lead. It’s been said on the Hulu streaming platform that the show takes place “inside the world of the NFL with a generational family component.”
At the current time, the producers (besides Fogelman) are David Ellison, Jason Reed, Jess Rosenthal, and Jesse Sisgold. Ellison is best known for Top Gun: Maverick and the TV series FUBAR. He is also CEO of Skydance Media. Reed was the producer for 2024’s Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.
Jesse Sisgold is with Skydance as President and COO, and he has worked on NFL draft programs over the past few years. Jess Rosenthal has worked on both Paradise and This Is Us with Fogelman. Rosenthal is additionally an executive producer on Only Murders in the Building.
Yes! Meloni actually did play football while he was in school! He attended St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes School in Alexandria, VA. At one point, he was both captain and quarterback of the undefeated high school football team.
It seems as though fans are excited about the Christopher Meloni Hulu NFL series announcement and the upcoming show. When Dan Fogelman posted “Got our coach!” on his Instagram account, there were many fire emoji () reactions, so Fogelman’s choice must be hot! We’ll see if Meloni can entice viewers to watch the anticipated show. And we definitely do think the betting odds are strongly in its favor!
