Fans want an ‘Abbott Elementary’ crossover with these 21 TV shows

Fans would love to see so many shows from the past cross paths with Abbott Elementary, and some of them make the most sense, given the locale and situation. Just think of someone, perhaps Dwight Schrute, trying to secure a paper deal with Abbott’s school district. The meeting between him and Ava would be iconic.

English Teacher drew a lot of comparisons to Abbott Elementary before it even aired, but it’s clear within five minutes the shows only have a school setting in common. However, it’d be interesting to see these two casts of teachers connect at a teachers conference one day.

Ayo Edebiri played Janine Teagues’ sister on Abbott Elementary , so some want to see a crossover that really only makes sense if it ignores the fact that their mother on the school-based sitcom is alive and Taraji P. Henson, unlike Ayo’s mother in The Bear, who has passed. 

Sesame Street has been educating the youth of America since 1969, and with Abbott Elementary being a show whose foundation is rooted in such - it’d be the perfect, most adorable collaboration that the ABC hit could do. Perhaps Abbott wins a visit from Elmo and the gang?

In an alternative universe, Walter White beat cancer, moved his family away from the crime scene of New Mexico, and resettled in Philly. Now, he’s looking for a science teacher job upstairs in the middle school with Jacob. 

Sometimes, it’s not about anything more than the name.

Wednesday Addams might just be the type of energy Janine needs in her life.

While Abbott Elementary has already featured a few queens from Drag Race, winners Symone and Shea Coulee, some fans would love to see season 15 queen Plasma stop by to play Jacob’s brother.

Barbara would have the youths in Euphoria’s lives cleaned up within one singular episode.

Janine and Leslie Knope could save the world with their optimism.

If anything, Ava and Samantha would go way back.

The teachers head to Missouri for an education convention and find themselves in Cloud 9, looking for toiletries after the airline loses their luggage.

There is no realistic way to get the chaos of Gen V into Abbott except for maybe a funny flashback scene that shows Gregory going on interviews at different schools, and one of them happens to be Godolkin University.

In a perfect world, Modern Family and Abbott Elementary would’ve ruled ABC together, but alas, one ended, and the following year, the other began. There is no doubt that this would’ve been the throwback of all throwback crossovers on ABC that harkened back to their TGIF days, and although Modern Family has been off the air since 2020, there are plenty of people who would not mind seeing those characters back on ABC in some capacity.

Why not spread the animation domination?

The possibilities for A Man on the Inside are endless. One of Ted Danson’s character’s assignments could be investigating one of the teachers at Abbott.

Fans already know that Melissa loves her some fire trucks.

All the people know is that Will Smith was from Philadelphia. No one knows which elementary school he attended. Perhaps he was one of Barbara Howard’s kindergarteners and wants to pay her a visit when he is back in town.

There could be an issue with Ava, and they might need a new principal to step in for a minute. Jess from New Girl was capable of running a school by the end of the show, so why not?
