Mayfair Witches is officially coming back this January.
Stars Tongayi Chirisa, Harry Hamlin, and new cast member Alyssa Jirrels, along with showrunner Esta Spalding and Immortal Universe executive producer Mark Johnson, announced the Season 2 premiere date during their New York Comic Con 2024 panel on Thursday, October 17. The panel was preceded by a screening of the Season 2 premiere. A new teaser for Season 2 dropped after (see above), showcasing a scene from the new episodes.

Who’s in the Mayfair Witches Season 2 cast?
Alexandra Daddario returns as Rowan, with Jack Huston as Lasher, Chirisa as Ciprien, and Hamlin as Cortland Mayfair, among other returning supporting cast. Jirrels plays Moira Mayfair, sister of Tessa, who was killed in Season 1.

Ben Feldman joins the cast as Sam “Lark” Larkin, a book character connected to Rowan’s past, and Ted Levine of Silence of the Lambs plays another book character, Julian Mayfair, father of Cortland.
What happens in Mayfair Witches Season 2?
Here’s the logline for the second season: “Based on Anne Rice’s Lives of the Mayfair Witches, Season 2 of Mayfair Witches continues the journey of Rowan Mayfair (Alexandra Daddario) after she has unwittingly given birth to the demon Lasher (Jack Huston). She is determined to understand what he has become — human or monster? — and to use him to fulfill her purpose as a healer, but when tragedy strikes, she must put aside her own desires and fight to protect her family.”
The panel revealed a lot of juicy details, including information about the upcoming crossover with Interview With the Vampire as teased in the San Diego Comic-Con trailer. Felix (Gabriel Freilich), Lestat’s vampire fledgling from the IWTV Season 2 finale, makes his debut in the third episode of Mayfair Witches Season 2. That episode is when we “really start to feel the connection in the world” of the universe, Spalding said.
Johnson also revealed that the third series in the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, The Talamasca (filming now in England), will have “considerable crossover” with Interview With the Vampire.
IWTV characters that viewers have “fallen in love with or fallen in hate with” will appear in The Talamasca, Johnson revealed. Johnson and Spalding made clear that Felix is the primary IWTV crossover in Mayfair‘s second season and that the bulk of their current Immortal Universe crossover plans exist between IWTV and The Talamasca.
Spalding said that “two of the things that I loved the most in the Lasher book,” which are the Julian and Lasher backstories, are in Season 2 of Mayfair. “Both of those stories make it into the show in different forms,” she said during the panel.
“Julian is demented,” Hamlin said in the panel, adding, “No better person than Buffalo Bill to play my father.”

As for Sip, Chirisa said his “main mandate is to get the child [Lasher] to the Talamasca.” Sip also “can’t quite trust his superiors” at the Talamasca and is now making “independent choices” for the first time.
When asked by the moderator, TV Insider’s own Damian Holbrook, if there’s any chance of Sip appearing with the Talamasca in London, Chirisa replied, “Maybe.”
New character Moira is the “black sheep” of the Mayfair family and she’s a mind reader, Jirrels shared.

‘Jeopardy!’: Neilesh Vinjamuri Reveals Surprising TV Shows He Wants to Do Next
Neilesh Vinjamuri might not have a lot of time on his hands, as he is gearing up to appear on Jeopardy! Masters, but opened up about which TV shows he wants to be on next. The game show contestant appeared on The Lauren Leever Power Hour Podcast on February 24. After winning three games during the 2025 Tournament of Champions, Vinjamuri took home $250,000. In the finals he competed against Adriana Harmeyer and Isaac Hirsch, who both won one game each and went home with $75,000. During the podcast, Vinjamuri joked that he would get a new iPad with his winnings after he told host Ken Jennings that he studied trivia on his current one, which is 12 years old. He brought his sister, Sanjana, with him, who joked that he ripped up her teddy bears as a kid but also taught her all of the U.S. Presidents in order, as well as the State Capitals. They have a six-year age gap between them, which Sanjana said “made Neilesh jealous.” She is the complete opposite of him and loves pop culture and movies. Despite Vinjamuri still having a Jeopardy! tournament coming up, the podcast hosts asked him what he would want to do after his time on the game show. He revealed that he likes playing video games and could be a Twitch streamer, but he also teased reality shows that he would love to be on. “I would say right now, I’ve come to master the art of chopping vegetables, so I’m going to give Gordon Ramsay a little call,” Vinjamuri revealed. Ramsey currently hosts Hell’s Kitchen, MasterChef, Next Level Chef, and Kitchen Nightmares, so Vimjamuri has some options. “The people on the shows have to know recipes. Do you think your knowledge of cooking is that good? Does it require a lot of memorization?” the host asked. “It’s kind of like muscle memory,” the game show contestant said. “So, yes, I think it does.” He also expressed interest in being on Survivor, which he has become a big fan of over the past few years, thanks to his sister. A question from a fan asked if he would be interested in going on The Chase, to which he replied, “We’ll see.” He didn’t seem like he didn’t want to be the chaser if he went on it. To the end podcast, Vinjamuri said that he has a “very tall task ahead of him” for Jeopardy! Masters. “If you look at a lot of them, they are professional quizzers. I haven’t gotten there yet. I have a day job.” Vinjamuri will have long days ahead of him as he revealed that there are typically five games filmed in one day. “If you win, you film, end the show, change your shirt, and go right back out after lunch,” he said. However, the contestant didn’t drink any coffee during his time on ToC due to his nervous jitters. He also revealed that contestants can ask for a chair if they would like, but he was too nervous to sit. Vinjamuri felt like the rocking back and forth helped calm his nerves. “The interest of moving on to the next round is greater than the tiredness I was feeling,” he said. On Jeopardy! Masters, Vinjamuri will compete against James Holzhauer, Victoria Groce, Yogesh Raut, the Jeopardy! Invitational Tournament Winner, and a producer’s wildcard pick. Browns have major injury concern on offense after starter exits game
The Cleveland Browns have a big concern on Saturday following an injury to a key part of the offensive line. The Browns played their starters against the Los Angeles Rams as a tune-up before the regular season. Per the NFL's website, center Ethan Pocic was ruled out of Saturday's game against the Rams when he suffered a knee injury. Via the NFL: "C Ethan Pocic suffered a knee injury against Los Angeles and will not return to the game. Pocic played eight snaps with starting quarterback Joe Flacco before exiting with his injury. Pocic was injured on a third-and-9 play in the first quarter when Rams defensive tackle Desjuan Johnson ran into his leg while he was engaged in a block on linebacker Brennan Jackson." Pocic's injury is a worry for the Browns ahead of their Week 1 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sept. 7. The 2017 second-round pick by the Seattle Seahawks is a leader on Cleveland's offensive line. He's been with the Browns since 2022. Pocic has appeared in 101 games and started in 84 during his first eight years in the league. The upcoming season is important for the 30-year-old, as he's in the final year of the three-year, $18 million deal he signed in 2023. When Pocic came out of the game, the Browns inserted Luke Wypler in at center. The 2023 sixth-round pick has played in just five games in his career and has made one start. Wypler missed all of 2024 with an ankle injury that required surgery.

Commanders fans receive hopeful Terry McLaurin update
Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels has suggested on multiple occasions that he is "one hundred percent" confident he will "be throwing some passes to" wide receiver Terry McLaurin during the 2025 season. It seems Daniels may have had some inside information. NFL insider Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated revealed Friday that the situation involving the Commanders and McLaurin "is in a better spot than it’s been" since the 29-year-old requested a trade on July 31. "The sides started out pretty far apart," wrote Breer, "so there was a lot of ground to make up. Maybe the deadlines in the next couple of weeks will help push an agreement through." The "pretty far apart" line may be referencing a previous report that claimed "one person with knowledge of McLaurin’s contract negotiations" said he had "asked for more than" the average annual value attached to DK Metcalf's five-year, $150M deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers. That same story insinuated that Washington may be more comfortable paying McLaurin around $27M or $28M per season via a multiyear extension. Coming off their trip to this year's NFC Championship Game, the Commanders likely won't be trading McLaurin's rights anytime soon. At this point, Washington acquiring a suitable replacement for McLaurin and getting him familiar with the team's offense in time for the Commanders' Week 1 game against the New York Giants is unrealistic. For an article published on Aug. 18, ESPN's Ben Solak wrote that he believed the McLaurin-Commanders standoff would eventually end "with a compromise extension before Week 1." It's unclear what McLaurin will do if this does not occur before the Giants matchup on Sept. 7, but it sounds like the two sides could work something out.
Orioles' latest extension could spell doom for All-Star catcher
It's not a good day to be Adley Rutschman. The All-Star catcher could face an uncertain future with the Baltimore Orioles after ESPN's Jeff Passan reported an extension agreement between the club and top prospect Samuel Basallo on Friday morning. Basallo has just four games of MLB experience to his name, but the Orioles are investing in his future development at the big league level, with his plus hit tool that could make him a middle-of-the-order bat in Baltimore for years to come. On the flip side, this extension comes with potential consequences for Rutschman, who has suddenly gone from franchise player to tradeable asset. Selected first overall in 2019 by the Orioles out of Oregon State University, Rutschman was the first prominent figure of Baltimore's rebuild, debuting in 2022 and catapulting the club to back-to-back playoff appearances in 2023 and 2024. And while both of those runs were short-lived, there didn't seem to be much doubt that he would quickly entrench himself as a franchise cornerstone. However, Rutschman has struggled in 2025. The 27-year-old has spent time on the injured list, but even when on the field, his OPS of .684 and OPS+ of 92 are both below-average and short of his career .758 OPS and 116 OPS+, respectively. That lack of production, combined with injuries, has clearly sown doubt into the Orioles' belief that he will remain a key cog of Baltimore's future. And while it's possible that Basallo could eventually move to first base down the line, that doesn't change the perception that Rutschman might feel like an odd man out at Camden Yards. For years, many Orioles fans and pundits had been calling for Rutschman to be extended, along with shortstop Gunnar Henderson, who continues to shine amid larger team struggles. That doesn't seem to be the direction executive vice president and general manager Mike Elias is taking, though, as he appears content to let Rutschman and Henderson walk when they reach free agency. And in the case of Rutschman, specifically, he could now become an intriguing trade chip this winter if the Orioles are so inclined.
