New Heights live show pays tribute to one of Travis Kelce's most embarrassing tweets
Briana Sanchez / USA TODAY NETWORK

Travis Kelce is one of the best players in the National Football League, known for his athleticism and physicality on the field. Oh and the three Super Bowl championships aren't too bad either.

However, he proved many years ago that he should stick to football and not take up a career in anything that might involve spelling. There is one tweet he sent out in 2011, spelling a very common word wrong. And it went viral in the past year.

The word in question: Squirrel. Or as Travis spells it, "squirle."

So during Travis's Spelling Bee at the Great Lombaby Games during the New Heights live show at the University of Cincinnati, squirrel was the final word that helped Jizzle James claim the victory.

New Heights retweeted a video of the moment, commenting, "Hey it's a harder word to spell than it looks ."

And after the word was spelled correctly, Jason Kelce made sure to have fun celebrating the moment.

The Lombaby Games were a competition between students from the University who were split up into Team Athletic vs. Team Academic. James correct spelling allowed Team Athletic to claim victory in the spelling bee.

When Travis' relationship with Taylor Swift went public, every little thing he had ever done resurfaced. And with that, this tweet became very popular.

The two discussed this originally on an episode of New Heights in November.

"What's hilarious is nobody followed me back then and I was  just using Twitter as like a diary," Travis explained. "I'm just out here saying nonsense. "I just gave a squirrel a piece of bread" and spelt "squirrel" like a jacka**'.

He claimed that all of this is why he doesn't tweet anymore.

But this one in particular will be remembered forever.
