Pauley Perrette is trying to live her best life since retiring from acting, and she seems to be in the process of deciding who gets to live that life with her:

"The most interesting thing about saying you are retired is checking who is or who is not still your friend," the longtime NCIS favorite tweeted. "(SHE CAN'T HELP MY CAREER NOW?!?!?!) Fascinating! And VERY TELLING!"
Perrette isn't seeking sympathy—adding that she has "WAY MORE than my share of AMAZING friends and family."
The 52-year-old previously confirmed she was a "happily retired" actress last October:
I finally and happily retired! And this is what I was looking forward to!!! My rules in life now are “if my #rescuedogs don’t care, it’s cool! I only answer to God and animals and plants now. WOOT!!!

But it was back in October 2017 that Perrette abruptly announced her decision to leave NCIS:

Her run as Abby Sciuto officially ended in May 2018 after 15 years and 354 episodes. 13 months later in June 2019, she explained (again on Twitter) that her departure was at least in part due to feeling "terrified" of co-star Mark Harmon, who still plays Gibbs and has since 2003 (h/t Vanity Fair).
