As part of Netflix’s 2025 TUDUM event, the official trailer for “Happy Gilmore 2” was released.

A follow up to 1996’s “Happy Gilmore”, “Happy Gilmore 2” will release on Netflix on July 25, 2025 and will follow Adam Sandler’s iconic character 30 years later.

The trailer included many cameos from all around the sports world, including:

……… and of course professional golfer/Happy Gilmore’s arch enemy Shooter McGavin (played by actor Christopher McDonald).

“That’s right, Adam Sandler is returning to the golf green as Happy Gilmore, and he’s bringing along a few familiar and fresh faces,” said the official release from the TUDUM event. “Joining the film alongside Sandler are original Happy Gilmore stars Julie Bowen, Ben Stiller, and Christopher McDonald and brand-new co-star Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio (aka Bad Bunny), daughters Sadie and Sunny Sandler, and Blake Clark. Also seen in the trailer are Jackie Sandler, Eric André, Margaret Qualley, Martin Herlihy, Tim Herlihy, Nelly Korda, Nancy Lopez, Verne Lundquist, Jack Giarraputo, Kevin Nealon, Benny Safdie, John Farley, Kym Whitley, Lavell Crawford, Ken Jennings, Cam’ron, Eminem, Post Malone, Marcello Hernandez, Dan Patrick, Oliver Hudson, Reggie Bush, Becky Lynch, Nikki Garcia, and Jack Nicklaus.”

The first Happy Gilmore film was a massive hit, as it earned $41.2 million on a $12 million budget and developed a cult following.

“It’s good, it’s good,” Sandler told Jimmy Fallon last August on the set of “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. “We worked hard on the script man. We didn’t want to let anybody down. People have been asking me for a long time to do Happy Gilmore 2 and I was always like nah. I don’t want to let you down. But then me and a buddy came up with the idea and we’re really excited about it. We’re continuing to make it a movie that you guys will like and we’re excited. So many golfers are being nice and they’re going to be apart of it.”
