It's not every day that you get to join Barry Bonds in baseball history.

Well, that's exactly what Jack Suwinski of the Pittsburgh Pirates did on Monday.

Though the Pirates lost to the Giants, 14-4, Suwinski became the second player in history to hit two home runs into "McCovey Cove" in the same game. Bonds did it twice.

Joe Block of the Pirates broadcast team put that information out on Twitter:

After the big day, Suwinski is now hitting .239 with a .353 on-base percentage. He has 11 homers, 28 RBI and six stolen bases.

He was drafted in the 15th round of the 2016 draft by the Padres and made his major league debut in 2022 with the Pirates. He played in 106 games last season.

For his career, he's a .214 hitter with 30 homers and 66 RBI.

Perhaps it's appropriate that a Pirates player is the only other player to accomplish this feat, given that Bonds spent the first seven years of illustrious career in Pittsburgh.

He was named an All-Star three times in Pittsburgh and won two MVP awards, as well as three Gold Glove awards.

Bonds was named MVP an astonishing seven times and was a 14-time All-Star. He was an eight-time Gold Glover and won two batting titles.

He's the all-time home run leader at 762 homers, but remains out of the Baseball Hall of Fame.
