Mets manager Andy Green sheds interim tag, signs 3-year deal

The New York Mets removed the interim tag on manager Andy Green and signed him to a three-year contract on Tuesday. The Mets are 37-38 with six games remaining in the regular season under Green, who took over after Carlos Mendoza was fired on June 26 with a 34-47 mark at the halfway point.
