The Toronto Blue Jays have acquired Dominican reliever Yerry Rodríguez from the Texas Rangers. The Rangers will receive righty Josh Mollerus. Both are minor-league bullpen pitchers, and the Rangers have allotted Mollerus to their high-A affiliate and Rodríguez to Triple-A Buffalo.
Regardless if the Blue Jays decide to buy or sell at this year’s trade deadline, they still have a bullpen that needs some help. They put that into action earlier today, acquiring right-handed reliever Yerry Rodríguez from the Texas Rangers in exchange for minor league right-hander Josh Mollerus.
Baseball has taken Blue Jays prospect Josh Mollerus to all different parts of the country but at the collegiate level, the right-hander stayed true to his roots on the West Coast.
