Pirates Promote Prospect Duo to Altoona

PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Pirates have promoted two prospects who will are having strong seasons so far in 2025. Alex Stumpf of MLB.com reported that the Pirates are promoting both outfielder Esmerlyn Valdez and catcher Omar Alfonzo from High-A Greensboro to Double-A Altoona.
