Just like that, Yimi Garcia is back on the Injured List. An hour before Saturday afternoon’s game, the Toronto Blue Jays announced that they had placed Garcia on the 15-day Injured List with a left ankle sprain.
The Toronto Blue Jays acquired right-hander Robinson Pina from the Miami Marlins on Wednesday. The Marlins received minor league pitcher Colby Martin in exchange for Pina, who was optioned to Triple-A Buffalo.

On Tuesday evening, the Toronto Blue Jays made a trade. That trade was with the Miami Marlins. Unfortunately, it wasn’t for Sandy Alcantara or Edward Cabrera, as the Blue Jays sent right-handed pitching prospect Colby Martin to the Marlins for Robinson Pina, according to MLB.com’s Christina De Nicola.
The Marlins have selected left-hander Josh Simpson’s contract from Triple-A Jacksonville, as first reported by Isaac Azout of Fish on First and later confirmed by the club.
The Miami Marlins have made three roster moves on Thursday. Miami has selected the contract of Robinson Pina, optioned Adam Mazur, and designated Connor Gillispie for assignment.
