Ian Machado Garry vs. Neil Magny is in the books.

Garry and Magny shared the Octagon inside the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts on August 19. Garry was initially scheduled to take on Geoff Neal, but Neal was pulled due to undisclosed medical reasons. 

Magny has never been known to engage in pre-fight banter, but he made an exception with Garry. The two were trading barbs during the UFC 292 pre-fight press conference.

Magny went down in just seconds from a leg kick, but got back to his feet quickly. It happened a second time just seconds later. The two tied up and Garry shoved his opponent down to the mat. For the third time, Magny lost his balance after being kicked in the leg.

A few jabs were there for Magny early in the second stanza. Garry had Magny hobbling off a stinging kick to the leg. He had great difficulty with the distance. Magny attempted a takedown. Garry was battering Magny's lead leg.

Round three was more of the same with Garry continuing to pepper Magny's leg and body with kicks. A front kick had Magny covering up, and Garry took him down to the mat. The bout went the distance, and Garry won a clear unanimous decision.
