Allen Iverson was always known for speaking his mind out regardless of who could feel offended or if that got him fined. The Philadelphia 76ers icon is still making big statements and the latest one includes him picking his draft class as the best ever.

With the league releasing a two-part documentary about this impressive draft class, we could see a sneak peek of what’s coming, with AI making it clear that no other class was better than him. In case you don’t remember, he was the first overall pick of that class, that featured other legends like Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash, and Ray Allen.

The Answer made it clear that they were part of the best draft class in NBA history, although people always talk about the 1984 one, which had Hakeem Olajuwon and Michael Jordan, or the 2003 class, which featured LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, and more.

“People talk about the class that Mike (Michael Jordan) was in,” he said. “People talk about 2003 LeBron and Wade, and Melo. And that’s a great class but the ’96 draft class, hands down the best. The people who went in ’96 are among the best to ever play the game. Definitely legendary. I don’t think there’ll ever be any class better than that class.”

AI is indeed one of the best players to ever play the game, Kobe is also a top 10 player of all time in the eyes of many and until Stephen Curry arrived at the league, Ray Allen was considered the best shooter of all time. The 2001 NBA MVP and his draft class have a big case to take that honor but the other two are stacked, as well.

Still, that doesn’t seem to change Iverson’s mind. The Answer was always pretty confident in himself and ready to defend his word. Fans and other players might have a different opinion but The Answer is convinced he was part of the greatest draft class of all time. The only certain thing is that these three were the best of the best, regardless of how you rank them.
