2x NBA All-Star Manu Ginobili had many great moments over his 16-year career. Playing alongside Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, and even Kawhi Leonard, he was part of an amazing dynasty that lasted for the better part of two decades.

One of his most impressive highlights, however, came in 2014 when a then-36-year-old Manu posterized Miami Heat big man Chris Bosh in the NBA Finals.

Considering Ginobili was never thought to be an especially athletic player, it was an unexpected play, to say the least, that perfectly summed up what he and his team were feeling at the time.

And now, all these years later, the 4x Champion recently found himself reflecting on that play, revealing just how special it was for him.

“This was a very special play for me. I had a lot of disappointment. I was hurt because of what happened the year before. That play shows that there was something in us that wasn't gonna let those Finals go past us…”

The Spurs and Heat met twice in the Finals, and it was always a hard-fought affair.

In 2013, the Spurs took a 3-2 series lead over LeBron James and his Heat crew, leading many to believe they would close things out and win a Championship. Instead, Miami came roaring back to force a Game 7, where they would eventually capture their second-straight title.

It was that next year that the Spurs would get their revenge, taking out the Heat in the highly anticipated sequel.

The Spurs have not been back to the Finals since, but their legacy as one of the most well-run and accomplished organizations continues to stand to this day.

As for Manu, we don't hear too much from him these days. He retired in 2018 the same way his career began: in a Spurs jersey.
