Lamar Stevens of the Cleveland Cavaliers is spending his summer break practicing his game and getting better – and having fun with his best friend.

Stevens, who has played with the Cavs for two seasons now, isn’t the biggest name on the team.

But this Cleveland team has proven that every single player counts and everyone is important.

Therefore, Stevens is spending his offseason making sure he is up to the challenge of making the Cavs even better in the new season.

That means a lot of practice during his downtime – but he doesn’t have to do it alone.

He’s not: footage from Stevens’ home shows the power forward practicing his handles and dribbling in an empty room, alongside his dog, who looks eager to get in on the fun.

It’s a cute video and Stevens sure seems to be having fun.

But the footage of Stevens really proves that the entire Cavaliers team is aiming to make next season even better than the last.

Cavs Capitalizing

Cleveland is already one of the youngest and most promising teams in the league.

While the current group of guys can’t get any younger, they can get more promising.

That requires practice and lots of it.

There is a strong desire within the team to keep surging forward in the new season.

Previously, they got close but ended up missing the postseason and that hurt them a lot, especially after the stellar regular season they had.

Therefore, the entire team is striving hard to become better players with more skills, stamina, and better control on the floor.

That’s why you see Stevens going so hard at home: he knows he’s just a part of the larger puzzle and the better he is, the better his team is.
