The Warriors Are Very Impressive At Home
D. Ross Cameron-USA TODAY Sports

Believe it or not, the Golden State Warriors are currently in the midst of a five-game winning streak.

This is a bit surprising because the team has not had the season they had hoped for so far.

Yes, they won the NBA Finals last June but they started the 2022-23 season in a very rough way, losing a shocking amount of games.

Even with their latest string of wins, they are still the 9th team in the West with a 20-18 record.

While they might not be winning as much as they want to, the Warriors are certainly doing one thing right: winning at home.

The Warriors are 17-2 at home right now.

That’s a stunning stat and shows that when they are on their home court in San Francisco, few teams can stop them or slow them down.

That’s been clear over the last few days: they have taken down the Memphis Grizzlies, Charlotte Hornets, Utah Jazz, Portland Trail Blazers, and finally, the Atlanta Hawks over the last week, and all of those victories have been at the Chase Center.

While they can clean up at home, they are still having all sorts of problems when they’re on the road.

The number of wins they have when away from home is small and their victories seem few and far between when they’re not in the Bay Area.

Before this current streak, they lost 5 of their 6 games on the road, including to the Milwaukee Bucks, Philadelphia 76ers, New York Knicks, and others.

Winning at home is vital but the Warriors need to figure out why they’re ailing so much on the road if they hope to have a strong postseason.

A team simply cannot win the Finals – again – if they can’t pick up a lot of wins on the road.
