Tyler Herro Talks About A Crucial Absence

He sat out for three pivotal games during the series against the Boston Celtics last May.

In the end, the series would go to Game 7 and the Celtics would, of course, win and then head to the NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors.

Why did Herro remain sidelined when the team needed him more than ever?

“We were planning on playing the next series as well. So we wanted to make sure I was healthy for that,” Herro explained about his painful absence.

The Heat won’t make the same mistake again this season and you can expect to see a lot more of Herro.

When Herro left the Miami-Boston series, he was putting up double-digits.

The Heat won two of the first three games and looked on their way to possibly claiming the overall victory and a ticket to the Finals.

But then they lost two back-to-back, won one, and forced a Game 7.

Herro returned for that game but only played 6 minutes and didn’t score at all.

The Heat weren’t able to overtake the Celtics and the season was then over.

Since then, Herro has gotten healthier and prepared to step up even more.

He is prepared to earn his major payday and show that he is in contention for Sixth Man of the Year again.
