Antonio Brown, Kanye West ‘extremely serious’ about buying Broncos

Antonio Brown may never return to the NFL as a player, but he has his sights set on a much bigger goal within the league.

Brown has been spending a lot of time with music icon Kanye West lately. West recently named the star wide receiver the president of his Donda Sports brand, and the two have a lofty goal in mind — they want to buy the Denver Broncos.

Brown said last month that he wanted to purchase the Broncos. He told TMZ this week that he and West are “extremely serious” about the plan.

“Tell Roger [Goodell] to call me,” Brown said. “We’re working on it … We’re working towards getting it done.”

The Broncos are expected to sell for somewhere in the neighborhood of $4 billion. West is rumored to be worth well over $1 billion, so he could certainly afford to put a bid together. Of course, NFL owners would have to approve the sale. There would be a lot of potential issues with that.

Brown’s last move as an NFL player was to strip off his uniform and leave the stadium in the middle of a game. He also has indicated he could take legal action against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That’s only a fraction of the reason the NFL wouldn’t want Brown owning a team. We don’t see it happening.
