Billboard in Indianapolis recruits Aaron Rodgers to Colts

Fans of one NFL team may have to do a discount double take when they see a billboard that recently went up in their city.

Images went viral this week of a new billboard in Indianapolis recruiting reigning NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers to the Colts. Take a look at the billboard, which is located near Gate 9 of the Indiana State Fairgrounds and was paid for by local Carmel law firm, Wade Law.

“We have an amazing city, and we think that the best players in the league should want to play for the Colts,” said Joseph Wade, Wade Law’s founding attorney, to the Indy Star. “The better the Colts are, I think the better the city is. [Rodgers has] said he wants to be with a team that doesn’t need to rebuild. Well, we have that team.

“Other teams around the league are making their play for it,” Wade added. “I figured maybe we can make it go viral and see if [Rodgers] would consider Indianapolis … I don’t care about misinformation or anything people claim he is spreading. I don’t care about his political views. I care about what he does on the field … Hopefully, he can come to Indianapolis and be the MVP for 2022.”

The billboard is unexpected because the Colts have not really been linked to Rodgers yet. But they did miss out on the playoffs this year, and even owner Jim Irsay seemed frustrated with the play of current QB Carson Wentz.

For now, it sounds like there is one particular front-runner for Rodgers if he ends up leaving the Green Bay Packers. But Wade Law is doing its part to try to get the Colts into that conversation as well.
