The Philadelphia Eagles are looking to make improvements along the edges throughout the 2026 offseason a few years removed from winning the Super Bowl. With the team having some dead cap and looking to figure things out with their offense, they have made a free agent signing with some intrigue. Let’s take a closer look at who the team signed and what it means going forward.

The Philadelphia Eagles signed Hollywood Brown to a 1-year deal

NFL Insider Jordan Schultz is reporting that the Philadelphia Eagles have signed wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown to a one-year deal worth up to $6.5 million. Brown has spent the previous two seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs and is now expected to be a solid third wide receiver for the Eagles.

Brown finished last season with 49 catches on 74 receptions for 587 yards (12.0 yards per catch) with five receiving touchdowns over 16 games. The Philadelphia Eagles have some wide receiver issues with A.J. Brown and possibly moving on from him. However, Brown could be a strong third wide receiver behind Brown and DeVonta Smith if he’s not moved this offseason.

Adding a speedster like Brown is going to give the offense a deep threat they have been hoping for. With the team re-signing tight end Dallas Goedert a few days ago as well, this allows the passing offense to be viewed in a higher light. Brown is entering his age-29 season and still has the ability to be a productive receiver. It will be intriguing to see how he is used in this Philadelphia Eagles offense and if he can increase his value for next offseason.
