Football fans have new reason to hope the 2020 NFL season will begin on time amid the coronavirus pandemic.
On Friday, the NFL Players Association voted to recommend proposed changes to the collective bargaining agreement for a campaign unlike any other.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport tweeted that the deal is "done and final" and that training camps, which have opened to Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Texans rookies, will begin on time.

Training camp sessions open to all players on July 28.
Earlier this week, the NFL and NFLPA agreed to daily coronavirus testing through the first couple of weeks of camps. The NFLPA has also informed union members that all preseason games are canceled to avoid potential exposure to individuals who may be carrying the coronavirus.
