ECHL: Fort Wayne Komets Name Alex Aleardi Captain

The Fort Wayne Komets have named Alex Aleardi as the team’s 42nd captain in franchise history. Aleardi replaces Jack Dugan, who spent two seasons as the Komets captain before heading overseas to Germany this offseason.

The Fort Wayne Komets of the ECHL Central Division announced that 2023-2024 ECHL All-Star and Fort Wayne native, forward Alex Aleardi, has been signed by the Komets ahead of the 2024-2025 season.
