BOSTON – It’s been a hockey homecoming of sorts for Billy Sweezey. The Hanson native and Nobels and Greenough star is getting the opportunity of a lifetime playing for the Boston Bruins.

Filling out the ranks! The B’s seemingly finish up their day with a shotgun blast of depth signings. First, they signed Billy Sweezey, formerly of the Blue Jackets’ organization, who’s been doing decent work as an alternate captain for the Cleveland Monsters.

Billy Sweezey signs two-year deal with Boston Bruins

The Boston Bruins have signed right-handed defenseman Billy Sweezey to a two-year deal worth $775,000 per season. Sweezey played all of last season with the AHL’s Cleveland Monsters, with the physical blueliner putting up four points and 73 penalty minutes in 57 games.
