Capitals recall Garin Bjorklund, reassign Clay Stevenson
The Washington Capitals have become the second team today to make a change to their backup goaltending situation. Washington announced that they have recalled Garin Bjorklund and reassigned Clay Stevenson to the AHL’s Hershey Bears in a corresponding roster move.

The Washington Capitals announced Monday they re-signed goaltender Garin Bjorklund to a one-year, two-way contract, which will carry an annual average value (AAV) of $775,000 at the NHL level and $110,000 in the AHL.

The ECHL has announced that South Carolina Stingrays goaltender Garin Bjorklund has been named the ECHL goaltender of the week for February 17th-23rd. In Bjorklund’s two appearances last week, he went 2-0-0 with a shutout, a .50 goals against average, and a .980 save percentage.
