It seems like AC Milan could move away from their pursuit of Mohamed Simakan to try and land another target, a report claims.

A statement on Strasbourg’s official website on Tuesday confirmed that Simakan must undergo an arthroscopy which will keep him away from the field for a period of about two months, leading to suggestions Milan are now weighing up their interest.

According to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio for Sky (via MilanNews), Milan now seem oriented towards different solutions than Simakan, whose injury will indeed keep him off the field for a while

The Rossoneri would like a player who can play immediately, and that is why Fikayo Tomori of Chelsea has become the first real alternative to the Frenchman. The Chelsea defender has already given the go ahead to join Milan, meaning the operation could be wrapped up quickly.
