Here’s the latest team news and confirmed lineups as Everton host Burnley, who sit 19th in the Premier League table. The Toffees put on an incredible performance at the weekend as they walked away victorious from St James’ Park with a 3-2 win over Newcastle United. However, will they be able to put on that display again at their home, the Hill Dickinson Stadium, where they have struggled so far for results this season? Burnley have won one of their last five Premier League matches, and have collected 21 points less than Everton. They came close to a win at the weekend, losing 4-3 to Brentford, they will hope they’ve got what it takes to snatch the win on Tuesday.

Everton vs Burnley Team News and Confirmed Lineups for March 3

Everton Team News

Everton boss David Moyes is keen to make it two wins in a row, saying in his pre-match press conference that he doesn’t think there is “huge expectation” for Everton to beat Burnley but stressed “back-to-back wins would be hugely important for us”.

Meanwhile, he expects some more goals from his strikers, saying their recent input has been positive but the numbers are not what he wants, he added: “I want centre forwards to have far more goals. To spread that number out is good. We need a bigger return from them.”

Out: Jack Grealish (foot injury), Charly Alcaraz (undisclosed injury), Seamus Coleman (undisclosed injury).

Available: The rest of the squad remain fit and available for the fixture.

Burnley Team News

Commenting on Saturday’s game, Burnley boss Scott Parker, said: “The weekend’s game was a mix between a real poor part in the start and a second half which was a really impressive, incredible performance. We fell short on a couple of decisions. Generally it is mixed. The way the game ended we can take great positives from. The lads are in a good place.”

Parker is still hopeful that the team can do enough to stay up in the Premier League this season, commenting: “There has always been belief and there always is. This is a young group and at times they are learning at certain moments and you are seeing that shine through. Whether that is enough to bring success this year and that isn’t me being negative, you are seeing things being engraved in this team that is paramount to being successful.”

Available: Parker’s side are fit to play in this fixture, with a late decision to be made on Marcus Edwards after he picked up a knock last Friday. It’s not serious, though and he could easily make a swift return for the game.
