Edwards had this to say about facing Villa in his first West Midlands derby as Wolves boss:

“They are a brilliant team, have an amazing manager and a clear way of playing. We know what we’ll need to do to be competitive, but always show a lot of passion. We can’t be too robotic, the derby matters.”

Aston Villa have an injury boost ahead of the clash at Molineux as Brazilian winger Alysson is expected to be fit in time for the game. John McGinn remains out with a knee injury, as does Youri Tielemans, and Boubarcar Kamara, who is out for the rest of the season. Unai Emery had this to say about facing Wolves:

“With Rob Edwards, the coach, it was his second or third match coaching Wolverhampton, and we won. We didn’t deserve to win.
