Tottenham Hotspur are looking to add more quality in the middle of the park with the signing of Brais Mendez from Real Sociedad. As per Fichajes, the 28-year-old is on their radar, and it will be interesting to see if they decide to make a move for him when the window reopens in January.

Back in December, Real Sociedad midfielder Brais Mendez broke his arm after a strong challenge from Villarreal’s Etienne Capoue. He was projected to be out for 5-6 weeks at a minimum, but ended up returning just 12 days later.
Earlier this week, Real Sociedad revealed that Brais Mendez suffered a metatarsal injury during training. Surgery was required for the midfielder, and he is expected to be out of action for 6-8 weeks, which would all-but end his chances of being involved again this season.
So far, 2024 has been something of a disaster for Real Sociedad. They have fallen 10 points away from the Champions League places in La Liga after a dreadful run of form, and they also exited the competition itself to Paris Saint-Germain after a 4-1 aggregate defeat.
Earlier this month, Brais Mendez broke his arm during Real Sociedad’s 3-0 victory over Villarreal at the Ceramica. The 26-year-old was on the receiving end of a crude challenge from Etienne Capoue, and it was one that meant that surgery was required.
Real Sociedad won’t be able to call upon the services of Brais Mendez for the rest of 2023, after it was confirmed that the 26-year-old broke his arm during the victory over Villarreal on Saturday evening.
