As most of you know, Edge wrestled his final match in Toronto tonight on WWE Friday Night SmackDown. He beat Sheamus after hitting two consecutive spears.

During the post-match speech, Edge said that he did not know what the future holds for him and he has to talk it over with his wife but he added that "wherever I make my main residence" that "this" is always first in my heart and he is proud to be Canadian first and foremost.

Tonight's SmackDown was billed as the 25-year celebration of Edge's career but during the last 7 days, there's been a lot of speculation that Edge would retire as he said last year when he talked about wanting to have his last match in August of 2023 in front of his hometown fans.

However, there have been AEW rumors after Dax Harwood said earlier this year that Edge and Christian Cage teaming up again is not as far-fetched as it sounds. Dax and Edge are neighbors and close friends in North Carolina and Edge had talks with AEW in 2019.

It remains to be seen if Edge makes the jump or decides to hang it up for good. For more on this story, watch the video below.
