Sorry for all the late news, but I was getting ready for the Confederations Cup final today. Needless to say, i'm incredibly emo right now.

Ronald Belisario may have been drinking and driving.
Dodgers reliever Ronald Belisario was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol early Saturday after being stopped by the California Highway Patrol near his Pasadena apartment.
I guess this is what people meant by him having non-baseball issues. Losing him would be a huge blow.

Will Ohman had a setback in his rehab.
The good news is the recovery setback recently experienced by Dodgers left-hander Will Ohman is nothing more than tendinitis.

The bad news is the veteran will be shut down indefinitely until he feels good enough to resume his comeback from left shoulder irritation. Ohman was examined by team doctor Neal ElAttrache, who diagnosed the tendinitis.
They can spin this anyway they want, but he has been a terrible signing thus far. I had far higher hopes for him this year and thought he would be better. At least his injury allowed Brent Leach to emerge.

Cory Wade was sent down to AAA Albuquerque to work on his problems.
The Dodgers optioned struggling reliever Cory Wade to Albuquerque after the game to make room on the roster for Eric Milton, who will be activated today to start against the Mariners.
He has suffered from a bit of bad luck this year, but I don't have a real problem with this. He should be back up soon.

Nobody seems to want to mention it, but I think Torre really messed him up. I started wondering about this last September, and it has only gotten worse for Wade since then. People will always say guys are fine until they aren't, and after that you run the risk of them never being the same again. Just something to think about.

Post-Game 77 Thread: The Game No One Wanted...Save ANDRE

DODGERS 4, ROCKIES 2 (13) We're going to let Jim Tracy take this Post-Game Thread. Jim? Coming back tonight to Dodger Stadium, as a manager of a major league baseball team, was a pretty special feeling for me tonight. Was it the kind of game that I expected to see play out this evening? To answer that question, you've got to ask yourself, "Am I the kind of person...

Once a future star, Darren Dreifort is left with scars

Former Dodgers pitcher, whose $55-million contract made him a target of fan frustration, is still feeling effects of injuries that derailed his promising career. He just had his 22nd surgery. Darren Dreifort plans to be there this week when he is inducted into the College Baseball Hall of Fame.

Making It Look Eathy: Dodgers 8, Mariners 2

It was a day for blowouts as Cleveland clobbered Cincinnati 9-2, Tampa Bay flattened Florida 7-3, Texas totaled San Diego 12-2, not to mention the Angels' 12-3 annihilation of Arizona. So, the Dodgers were just going with the trend; keying the whole mad affair was Andre Ethier and his three-homer night, a first for him and the first since Hee-Seop Choi did it back in 2005 on...

The Dugout: Oh No He Didn't!

by B. Thompson StroudFiled under: Dodgers, NL East, The DugoutAndre Ethier does not want to take a picture with you. According to the Internet, Andre believes that people would use the photos against him on the Internet. He goes on to blame the hard economic times for making people want to do this. How many baseball players have felt the sting of a fan photo getting out, where an...

Wakamatsu mulls life after Beltre

Adrian Beltre is in the lineup one last time today, but they will have to face the next six to eight weeks -- at least -- without him. "We'll miss him dearly, and we wish him the best of luck,'' manager Don Wakamatsu said. Wakamatsu gave same insight into what comes next: He said he wants to use Ken Griffey Jr. more in the field, if his knee holds up, which he...

What A Train Wreck This Subway Series Has Been At Citi

So far the Subway Series has been a train wreck for the Mets offense. Imagine if Alex Cora had continued his anemic ways against A.J. Burnett (where did he get that shirt, from Greg Anthony?) and not snapped an 0-21 lifetime with a slap single? We would have been lamenting about getting no-hit by the former Met, [...]
