Found June 16, 2009 on Seattle Times:
Sitting up in the San Diego press box with colleagues Jim Street, Ryan Divish and Shannon Drayer, watching Erik Bedard going through a throwing session off flat ground. Afterward, he had a discussion with trainers Rick Griffin and Rob Nodine. Bedard was rotating his arm and showing them a spot on his shoulder. Don't know what it means, so I won't even speculate. Also, Kenji Johjima is here and took some swings in early BP. He has a broken toe, and will likely be activated sometime on the upcoming homestand. It's likely he'll have some sort of rehab stint in Tacoma first. I'll have more later when we have a chance to get down to the clubhouse. But here's something to chew on: Dustin Ackley, the Mariners' first-round pick, had five hits today in North Carolina's win over Southern Miss. in the College World Series. Kyle Seager, another NC player and M's draft pick (third round) hit a home run.
