Chris Clark, associate coach of the Tier II Junior A Wenatchee Wild of the North American Hockey League, might be in a little hot water after this bit. Upset with a call late in a game against the Kenai River Brown Bears, Clark dons a pair of dark sunglasses, grabs a stick, and parades around the ice acting as if he’s visually impaired, in an effort to mock the officials. The bow tie, apparently, was not part of the act. The Wild squared off against the Bears in a three game home series this past Thursday through Saturday, so we’re not sure in which game Clark’s antics took place. There’s a better than average chance the Wenatchee associate coach got tossed from the game for this over-the-top act (and rightfully so), but do you think he went too far, and by far we mean, do you think he was disrespectful to people that are actually visually impaired? Questioning the sight of referees is one thing, but isn’t this just a bit too much? Hard to believe such a fine, respectable looking young man would be capable of such behavior… That picture needs more bow tie.
