credit photo to sports.yahoo.com To all baseball fans, this is the week to vote for the most exciting player in the National League.  If you don’t know him by now he is Los Angeles Dodgers rookie, Yasiel Puig.  Yasiel has taken Major League Baseball by storm in his short tenure batting a healthy .409 with 16 multi-hit games, 8 home runs, 52 hits to go along with some amazing defensive highlights in his first 32 games. Fans, don’t listen to the likes of Jonathan Papelbon, who has made it known that he isn’t impress with the young hot-shot that has brought the Dodgers back from the dead, giving them a realistic shot at winning the NL West.  As of Sunday, Los Angeles is only 4 1/2 games out of first place, only trailing Arizona. If you haven’t seen what Puigmania is all about, take a look at this past Sunday’s highlights against the World Series Champs, San Francisco Giants.  What you are about to see is a man on a mission.  When watching this guy,  you will notice that this guy plays the game like its his last.  He uses his God-given-talent to the fullest. Take a look: courtesy of mlb.com If you are interested in voting for the budding star you have until Thursday, July 11, 2013 to get it done.  You can vote here by selecting the Fan’s All-Star Vote to make your selection.  The all-star game needs Yasiel Puig in this game.  If Yasiel Puig continues his torrid pace and the Dodgers win the NL West don’t be surprise if he easily walks away with a MVP award. Dodgers have released the best/worst Yasiel Puig All-Star plug ever

The Dodgers want Yasiel Puig to be an All-Star. Yasiel Puig wants Yasiel Puig to be an All-Star. They are both desperate. This is the only reason I can think of that this plug happened. Regardless, I’ve never been more grateful for whatever string of awesome/terrible decision making led to this. 1) Puig can talk to animals. 2) Puig can do … things blindfolded. 3) Puig can...

Yasiel Puig’s Poor Plate Discipline, Similarities With Jeff Francoeur Could Put Sudden End to ‘Puigmania’

There’s an old saying among Dominican ballplayers: “You can’t walk your way off the island.” The implication is that you have to hit — and swing — to get noticed by Major League Baseball talent evaluators and have the chance to defect from the Communist country. Of course, we all know that the modes of evaluating baseball players have changed, rather radically, over the...

Trout to start in All-Star game, Puig on Final Vote ballot

Mike Trout is in. Is Yasiel Puig next? Trout, the Angels reigning rookie of the year, was voted to start in the American League outfield for the July 16 All-Star Game at Citi Field in New York, but he was the only member of the Angels or Dodgers to earn a starting spot. Dodgers left-hander Clayton Kershaw was named to the National League pitching staff for a third consecutive...

D-backs' Gibson, Dodgers' Puig peas in a pod

PHOENIX -- Kirk Gibson sees a lot of his younger self in rambunctious, sometimes reckless Dodgers rookie Yasiel Puig. He approves. "That's refreshing to watch," said Gibson, the Diamondbacks manager. "Honestly, even from an opponent's point of view, that's refreshing." Former Tigers manager Sparky Anderson once said Gibson played 150 percent at...

Bruce Bochy changing mind about Yasiel Puig?

Last week, Bruce Bochy was quoting in saying that he didn't believe emerging Los Angeles Dodgers rookie superstar Yasiel Puig deserved a place on the National League All-Star team. This was potentially detrimental to Puig's All-Star hopes considering the fact that Bochy will manage the National League squad later this month in the All-Star Game."Generally, guys that...

Want Yasiel Puig In The All-Star Game? It Could Cost You Domonic Brown

Jonathan Papelbon made headlines last week when he was asked whether Dodgers rookie outfielder Yasiel Puig should make the All-Star team, despite only having just over a month on the major league roster. Papelbon made no bones about it: he did not consider Puig an All-Star. And he said it...

Puig Shut Down in Giants Win Over Dodgers

Starting pitcher, Madison Bumgarner (9-5, 3.05 ERA) has proven to be the best and most consistent pitcher so far this season for the San Francisco Giants (40-46). Today’s game against division rival, the Los Angeles Dodgers (41-44), proved it once again, even with a few hiccups along the way. A new system for the Giants’ reeked havoc on the first inning of the game as all the...

The Los Angeles Dodgers tied a season-high with a 17-hit performance and continued their recent turnaround in Arizona on Monday night, defeating the Diamondbacks 6-1 behind Zack Greinke’s fourth straight win. Now just 3 1/2 games out of first-place, the Dodgers have not only

We've tried really hard not to wade into this, but it touches on a few of our favorite topics. (1) The Atlanta Braves (2) ESPN If you are a baseball fan, you know the all-star game is next week. I can’t stop thinking about getting to Dodger Stadium & Los Angeles

Now that I’ve returned from out west and Las Vegas; it’s a new obsession I’m drawn to. My next trip out west is going to be to Los Angeles and Dodger Stadium, so I can cross the number one item off my bucket list. I want to see where this went down. When I get out there – and it will most likely be next summer – I want to go to two Dodgers games. I want to rent a car and...
