The former number one overall pick, Greg Oden, will not sign a deal during the season this year.  He had previously said that he did not want to attempt a comeback this season, but he would come back at some point.  It looks like that point will be this summer after the season.Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports says Oden's agent confirmed the plans.  Oden ha already drawn some interest and likely could land somewhere this season.  But he wants to take things slow.  He's suffered enough injuries to know there is no sense in rushing back.Oden was one of the most dominating players in college basketball when he was drafted by the Portland Trail Blazers.  Unfortunately, a series of knee injuries and multiple surgeries have kept Oden off the court and without a team since the 2009-10 season. In total, Oden played two seasons with the Trail Blazers.  He combined over those to seasons to play in just 82 games, starting just 60 of them.  Oden has averaged 9.4 points per game and 7.3 rebounds per game.  Even if he could only consistently put up those types of numbers, he would be valuable.  But it's a shame to think that's all he might be able to do considering his potential before the injuries.
