Hanley Ramirez‘s rehab stint with Rancho Cucamonga has gone well, and he’s supposedly in line to return to The Show early this week.
Dodgers shortstop Hanley Ramirez went 1-for-3 with two RBIs in his first of two scheduled rehab starts with the Quakes, as Rancho downed the visiting Lake Elsinore Storm, 8-3, at LoanMart Field on Saturday night.
Ramirez led off the game with a single to center and followed that with an RBI groundout, a sharp groundout to second base and a sacrifice fly to center before he was replaced by Darnell Sweeney in the seventh inning.
The first game went swimmingly, and the second game went well too…
He followed it up Sunday with six more innings, going 2-for-3 with a double, RBI and run scored. Ramirez is recovering from a torn ligament in his right thumb that required surgery on March 22.
…but he dove head-first into second base during the game, and his hand was heavily wrapped in the clubhouse afterward.
Believed to be precautionary. RT @cousneddie did he r...

On Saturday the Los Angeles Dodgers placed starting right handed pitcher Stephen Fife on the 15-day disabled list because of bursitis of his right shoulder. The move is retroactive to April 22nd. Fife, who had a 2.70 in 5 starts last season along with 20 strike outs in 26.2 innings is now the fourth starting pitcher for the Dodgers to be placed on the disabled list this season. The...
One Los Angeles Dodger fan filmed himself catching not one, not two but three different Matt Kemp home run balls out in the stands of Dodger Stadium over the course of three years. Okay, it was only during batting practice but it's still three souvenir balls.
"Matt Kemp Dodger Films!"
Yasiel Puig, the star of spring training for the Los Angeles Dodgers, has the attention of the club once again less than a month into the season. The problem is that the attention he is receiving now is not due to on field issues but rather an arrest this week in Tennessee. According to reports, the Dodgers top prospect was driving recklessly without insurance. Puig was pulled over...
Clayton Kershaw retired 18 consecutive batters and struck out 12 in eight dominant innings, Carl Crawford homered twice against Kyle Lohse and the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Milwaukee Brewers 2-0 on Sunday.
Kershaw (3-2) scattered four hits and didn't walk a batter while lowering his ERA to 1.73. The 2011 Cy Young Award winner, who led the NL in ERA in each of the previous...
Yasiel Puig returns with a bang, Joc Pederson clubs his sixth homer and Elian Herrera carries the Topes' offense.
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Clayton Kershaw retired 18 consecutive batters and struck out 12 in eight dominant innings, Carl Crawford homered twice against Kyle Lohse and the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Milwaukee Brewers 2-0 on Sunday.

Clayton Kershaw certainly dazzled in the Sunday afternoon sun at Dodger Stadium today, and Carl Crawford wasn’t too bad himself.
Between the two stars, the Dodgers forged out a 2-0 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers in today’s rubber match between the two teams.
Kershaw showed only a slight sign of having problems, giving up a couple hits in the first, but mostly shut down the...
Twitter has many uses, and comedian Rob Delaney appears to be attuned to them all.
The comedian, whose Twitter feed is entertaining to the point that he was recognized in the Time 100 and by Comedy Central, tweeted at the Dodgers last month with the hope that he could land the job of singing the national anthem at a Los Angeles game. The Dodgers, like any responsible Twitter users...
The Milwaukee Brewers spoiled the debut of rookie Matt Magill and Carlos Gomez got a little bit of redemption in the process after being the goat of the previous nights game where he misplayed a fly ball he lost in the sky that fell for a double that ended up costing his team a victory.
Magill was visibly nervous in his debut, which was evident early on. He started the game off by...
For Jackie Robinson night, Carl Crawford did just about everything right for the Dodgers. Crawford got 3 hits. Crawford scored a run. Crawford drove in a run. The Dodgers dropped the game 6-3, but Crawford did his share to try to put the team in the win column. Jackie would’ve been disappointed by the game’s result, but I’m sure he would have been proud of Crawford’s...
Carl Crawford was coming off what should be considered his best overall season as a major leaguer in 2010, just in time for him to hit free agency. The 28-year-old outfielder hit .307/.356/.495 with 19 home runs, 90 RBIs, 13 triples, 110 runs scored, and 47 stolen bases for the Tampa Bay Rays. His stellar play earned him the fourth All-Star selection of his career, along with his...
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Carlos Gomez and Martin Maldonado each hit two-run home runs to propel the Milwaukee Brewers to a 6-4 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday night.
Gomez's homer off reliever Matt Guerrier in the seventh inning erased a 3-2 deficit and Maldonado added his blast an inning later, also off Guerrier, to give the Brewers the cushion they needed.

Is Fernandomania overrated? Did the Los Angeles Dodgers and Manager Tommy Lasorda ruin Fernando Valenzuela’s career in his first eight starts?
Let’s take a look at the 1981 season game log data.
