Michigan State women's basketball players Kiana Johnson and Akyah Taylor have been suspended for the first nine games of the 2012-13 season. The school says NCAA guidelines ''related to receipt of extra benefits'' were violated. Coach Suzy Merchant says Johnson, a sophomore, and Taylor, a redshirt freshman, are ''good student-athletes that made a bad decision this summer.'' The school did not announce further details. Johnson and Taylor will be eligible to return Dec. 16 against IPFW.

Poon Of The Big Ten: Bro, Seriously, Look At This Michigan State Ass!

We’ll let Michigan State pooners have their fresh air poon pics day because it’ll be snowing by October. Which Pike bro got laid out of this situation? It definitely wasn’t Mr. Sweaty. Had to be YOLO on the right. ‘Holly’ was totally down with his plan to get a couple of brews and maybe chill out on his porch couch. *Slow clap* to Michigan State chicks for walking around...

Michigan State LB Max Bullough has ‘Spartan Pride’ tattoo across his biceps (Picture)

If there is a family that embodies the Michigan State football tradition more than the Bulloughs, I’d like to know about them. Max Bullough is a junior linebacker for the Spartans and one of the team captains. He’s following in the footsteps of his father, Shane, who was a linebacker in the ’80s and also a team captain. But that’s not where the Bullough-Michigan State football...

A 'Giant' step for Michigan State football

EAST LANSING, Mich. -- It was a crossroads day if ever there was one. Nearly two years have passed since Sept. 18, 2010, when Michigan State beat Notre Dame in a dramatic night game at Spartan Stadium. The Spartans were unranked and coming off a 6-7 going into the game, and nobody was excited about them. But a 34-31 overtime victory paved the way for an eight-game winning streak...

The 20 points came mostly from being tired from being on the field so much ...

The Shammy: Payback

Gee. Way to give it all back. Michigan State started me off right, but everybody else let me down. I was saved by Texas late in the day to finish 2-5 on the day. On the season that puts us back dead even, minus the juice. Don’t worry, it’s early and we will get it all back, starting this week. Seven more games this week. Here we go.   Cal @ Ohio State (-16.5) Virginia Tech...
