Via Cosby Sweaters:
Garrett McNamara landed himself in the Guinness World Records when it was confirmed that he rode a 78-foot wave in Nazare, Portugal in 2011. That wave was insanely huge and it looks like Garrett may have outdone himself on Jan. 28 back at the same surf spot. It isn’t confirmed yet, but it looks like Garrett may have ridden the largest wave ever by a human and initial speculation has the wave clocking in at a mere 100 feet.
According to Surfer Today:
The image captured by Tó Mané, one of the best surf photographers in Europe, is simply breathtaking. Garrett McNamara is seen riding what seems to be a 100-foot wave.
Although is far from clear, as the shot is taken from an upper angle, the ride is unbelievable. Tó Mané freezes the moment when McNamara descends the face of the wave.

WOW that takes a lot of guts with a side order of insanity

Yea, and I Skied a 100 ft Mountain!

Well, Christ, if it weren't edited every 1/10th of a second it may be something to behold. As it was presented here it didn't stay with one camera long enough for me to enjoy or appreciate it. No consideration for the viewer's appreciation at all.

Whoa! We surfers have "aloha" and compassion for all people, so a little more respect is in due order - for this "Mister McNamara" (to you). Wouldn't ya' think? Are you very land/ice locked? It's really better to be better in your heart, AYE??? Don't come to Hawai'i with that attitude. DUDE.
-
Well put alohaland!

Crumby video, not the surfers, the guy taking the video.

"...and initial speculation has the wave clocking in at a MERE 100 feet." Well I guess that's it then. Proper English grammar has officially been pronounced dead.
