Via Pass the Pill:

It’s well-known that NBA rookies usually have a tough go at it in the locker room. Veterans commonly like to pick on the young guys, and may make them do things like carry their bags, sing in public etc. However, when you add the usual rookie hazing with April Fool’s day, you get things like this happening to Cleveland Cavaliers rookie guard Dion Waiters. Waiters, who has been a pleasant surprise in his rookie campaign after leaving Syracuse early, found his car covered in…popcorn.

Like any great prank, there are pictures to prove it courtesy of USA Today Sports.

That’s just dirty. Maybe this is Waiter’s teammates telling him to pick and pop more…

Former Syracuse Star Dion Waiters Gets The ‘Popcorn In The Car’ Prank

Cleveland Cavaliers player and former Syracuse Orange guard Dion Waiters has put together a pretty nice first season in the NBA. But he’s still a rookie, meaning that regardless of how well he plays, he’s going to get hazed. His Cavs teammates decided to play the ol’ ‘popcorn in the car’ prank on Dion this past weekend. Original? Probably not. Annoying for Waiters to have...

For the time being, Cleveland officials plan for...

Cleveland Cavaliers: Shut Down Kyrie Irving. Now.

Why is Kyrie Irving playing,  coming off yet another injury, with only two weeks left in the season? This is absurd. He is the Cleveland Cavaliers’ franchise player and their hope for a better tomorrow, as the 20 year old is already one of the top 10-15 players in the NBA and the player they are going to be building around for the next 10+ years. Yes, Irving scored over 30 points...

Cavaliers visit Big Easy looking for a victory

After a strong start to a difficult home stretch, the New Orleans Hornets couldn't meet the challenge in their last two games. The Hornets (25-48) lost to Golden State and beat Boston to open this season-high...

Byron Scott falls victim to generational gap, frustration

Byron Scott is a paternal figure. Wise and experienced, the Cleveland Cavaliers head coach tells stories fit for the campfire. He has won multiple championships in the City of Angels, partied with Jack Nicholson, and shared a locker room with Big Country. He appreciates the finer things, is an NBA historian, and oftentimes finds himself wondering just what makes today’s players...
