Plaschke, Thy Sweater Is Argyle:
I've finally completed a Trifecta for Corey Seager, the Dodgers' first round pick in the 2012 Draft. I was happy when Ned Colletti and his staff made the decision to draft the shortstop/third baseman - see, I don't always hate on Uncle Ned - and I've begun a thus far modest collection of the young Blue Crew member.Though Seager finally has a couple of Dodgers' autos, they've been beyond what I'm willing to pay, so for now I'm left with unlicensed signatures, which I have no problem with. The first I acquired is the above auto from 2012 Leaf Valiant. On-card easily cancels out any unlicensed negatives, though again, I love minor league autos and unlicensed stuff to begin with.My other Seager John Hancock is this sweet 2012 Leaf Metal Draft base sig. Again, you can't beat the on-card aspect. The pair ran me less than half a blaster. I'll definitely pick up his first certified and official rookie autos at some point, but the prices need to drop b...

Grantland: Jonah Keri on the riches of the Dodgers and the curse that comes along with it.
That, in a nutshell, is The Curse of Plenty. The Dodgers have more money to spend than anyone, without enough top players to go after. They’ve clogged their roster with merely decent talent at multiple positions because their general manager is impulsive and overeager to spend that money...
When the Los Angeles Dodgers acquired Hanley Ramirez from the Marlins last July, they traded for a third baseman -- but got a shortstop. Ramirez unhappily moved to third base for the Marlins last spring after Miami signed free agent shortstop Jose Reyes. The entire experiment blew up with a disastrous season, and both players have since been traded. With the Dodgers, Ramirez...
In 2012, four left-handed pitchers touched 93-plus on my radar gun. In Onelki Garcia and Chris Reed, Dodgers prospects accounted for half the list. This is nothing new. Two minor league baseball seasons living in the Atlanta area has yielded many hard-throwing Dodgers prospects. What’s new is every top prospect I’ve seen from the Dodgers has been right-handed before this.
While there is still “no real evidence” that the Los Angeles
Dodgers are shopping or making available outfielder Andre Ethier, the Seattle
Mariners are one team that could have interest, according to Jon Heyman of CBS
still no real evidence andre ethier is being shopped, or even available. but #mariners are 1 team that could have interest.

On this, the final 2012 episode of "Dugout Blues," Jared Massey (L.A. Dugout) and I talk about the "big" trade that sent John Ely to Houston for Rob Rasmussen. We both like the deal.
We also answer some reader questions, which were excellent this week. Will Brian Wilson (yes, that Brian Wilson) end up with the Dodgers? What's up with Alex Castellanos...
