Found April 10, 2013 on Waiting For Next Year:
Fresh off of their gut-wrenching loss to the Indiana Pacers, the Cleveland Cavaliers may have an additional scorer at their disposal with rookie shooting guard Dion Waiters being listed as probable for their contest against the Detroit Pistons. Waiters injured his right knee on March 18 in a game against—coincidentally—the Indiana Pacers and has missed the last 10 games after being diagnosed with loose cartilage. He was originally scheduled to miss roughly one week’s time, but the condition did not improve until recently. It had been feared that the rookie could require surgery to clean up the issue, but it appears that such an operation was avoided. On the season, Waiters has averaged 14.7 points (41.1 percent shooting), 2.4 rebounds and 3.0 assists. The Cavaliers were 2-8 in Waiters’ absence. Despite misery, Cavs must stay course

CLEVELAND -- These are the darkest days for the Cavaliers. About the only thing worse than losing to Detroit at home, which the Cavs did by a 111-104 count Wednesday, is losing to Sacramento and Minnesota at home. The Cavs did that, too. So itd be easy to sit here and rip the Cavs. They probably deserve it. Not just for this loss, but for their entire body of disappointing work...

Cavaliers fail to execute down the stretch, fall to Pistons

A day after the Cavaliers blew a fourth quarter 20 point lead to the Pacers (then 48-29), the Cavs returned home to take on the 26-52 Detroit Pistons. The Cavs had lost five straight games to the Pistons, including all three match-ups this season. Not to spoil the surprise, but they didn’t get the job done on Wednesday either. Coming out of the first half down 4 points, the Cavaliers...

As fans of the Browns, Indians and Cavaliers, Clevelanders experience every bump, every The, together—we celebrate the occasional win, and collectively grieve through the latest loss. But as the Browns offseason wraps up and the Indians...

Warriors rookie gets car filled with popcorn

The Golden State Warriors clinched their first playoff spot in twelve seasons and the team was obviously in good spirits. A few members pulled a prank on rookie Kent Bazemore’s car by filling it with popcorn. Here’s the back-story of the hazing. Cavaliers rookie Dion Waiters got his car filled with popcorn earlier in the season.

Only four games remaining after Pistons steal one from Cavs

The Cleveland Cavaliers could use some additional help defending the basket. That was my prevailing thought throughout the evening as Greg Monroe and Andre Drummond combined for 52 points in the Pistons win over the Cavs on Wednesday. This became abundantly clear when the young Twin Towers from Detroit stepped onto the court, too, hours before a Hack-a-Drummond strategy was...

Free throw attempts from the April 9, 2013 Cavaliers/Pacers game in Indiana: IND – 46 / CLE- 15 The league owes the Cavaliers, the players, the fans and Cleveland a game.  There was no winning this one.  The Indiana Pacers took 46 free throws last night.  This was more free throws than were taken by both teams in any other game that was played last night.  It...
